The art of chinoiserie is known for its delicate flora, intricate fauna ,and ornate motifs. My grandmother's house always had a touch of it in her gorgeous decor and I fell in love with it again while watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Her 1950's New York City apartment had walls covered in it and, for me, those walls were a character in the show as well.
My path into creating these pieces has been long - trying to create my own spin on the vintage pieces I love so much.
This piece has a counterpart, CHINOISERIE PANEL 2, which it looks great hanging with. I'm offering them separately - because they can each stand elegantly alone as well.
All original paintings are given white glove care in packing and shipping. Your one of a kind piece will have hanging wire applied to the back, be extensively wrapped in bubble wrap, and placed into firm box for shipping that is insured.
