When Fiona moved to the US from England's coast, her new friends made fun of her reference to the beach as "the sea". While they flocked to the white sands of Florida, she longed for the magical waters of her home, and the the call of the SEA.
This piece started as a dreamy seascape abstract painting, using my favorite color harmony of varying blues with a touch of pink and peach. Once the character of Fiona popped into my mind...she just HAD to be incorporated into this piece.
